RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) - The man who authorities say was compliant in his arrest after allegedly killing his father missed his first appearance Tuesday in Pennington County court.
Authorities say Nicholas Selig (30) was uncooperative and physically resisting officers over going to his initial appearance Tuesday morning.
Because of this, his first appearance is pushed to Wednesday.
Selig was arrested for first-degree murder in connection with the shooting death of his father, Vernon Selig (57).
Vernon was found shot in the head in the area of Victoria Lake Road and First Thunder Road, along with Nicholas’ abandoned KIA Soul.
There was a nearly 48-hour manhunt for Nicholas until he was found outside the Advanced Auto Repair shop on Jackson Boulevard, where he was then brought to the Pe
