SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - Political theater, that’s what one state lawmaker is calling Governor Rhoden’s decision to send National Guard troops to the nation’s capital.
Governor Larry Rhoden said his administration was more than willing to help Trump make the Nation’s Capital safer.
“That (D.C.) should be the beacon of hope for our nation, and it’s not, and so I fully support President Trump’s efforts to make DC and the United States safe again,” Rhoden told Dakota News Now.
President Trump’s administration personally requested these public affairs guardsmen, and now they will be paid through the federal government.
Rhoden said he’s talked to family about the dangers of D.C. and how his son is learning to fly a helicopter compared.
