NORFOLK, Neb. (KTIV) - One person received non-life-threatening injuries and two animals died after a crash in Norfolk.

According to a release, Norfolk Police and Norfolk Fire and Rescue were called to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of 13th Street and Benjamin Avenue on Tuesday, Sept. 2, at 8:10 p.m.

Officials arrived at the scene to find the semi overturned in the northbound lanes of 13th Street.

The release states that the passenger car had sustained significant damage, and the driver was pinned inside until he was able to free himself. He was then taken by Norfolk Rescue for treatment of minor injuries.

Further investigation showed that 25-year-old Austin Miller of Minnesota was traveling south on 13th Street when the traffic signal turned red.
