Chicago can’t seem to catch a break right now: In addition to current events, A House of Dynamite is set amid the White House’s response to a nuke being fired anonymously at the Windy City. Idris Elba plays the president, so I like to think his response will be more… sane… than if this were real. Anyway, Rebecca Ferguson plays a military liaison and Greta Lee is an NSA agent, and Jared Harris is the SecDef. Honestly… sign me up for that government, on paper. Amusingly, the guy playing the deputy national security advisor, Gabriel Basso, played none other than JD Vance in Hillbilly Elegy . I feel like that guy must have THOUGHTS.
