A West Bank woman who was shot by Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office deputies after authorities say she pointed a weapon at the officers has been charged in the case, according to court records.

Paige Robin, 63, pleaded not guilty Aug. 29 to four counts of aggravated assault on a peace officer.

Robin's wild confrontation with deputies occurred on the afternoon of May 28 in the parking lot of a Dollar General store in the 7300 block of the West Bank Expressway in Marrero.

Deputies had been on the lookout for her blue SUV since that morning when concerned witnesses reported that an armed woman pointed a gun at a marked Sheriff's Office patrol unit that had been parked outside of a Walmart in the 4800 block of Lapalco Boulevard in Marrero.
