In a bid to offset the recent tumult at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, California, Oregon and Washington announced a new West Coast Health Alliance on Wednesday. Saying the three states share a commitment to ensuring that public health recommendations are guided by safety, efficacy, transparency, access and trust, the alliance said it will start coordinating health guidelines by aligning immunization recommendations informed by respected national medical organizations.
