As training camp concluded for the Red Deer Rebels, it was clear the future is bright for the franchise.

In the team's annual Black and White game on Tuesday at the Marchant Crane Centrium, nine 15-year-old players suited up between the two teams.

Ultimately, Team White pulled out a narrow 3-2 victory over Team Black.

"I think you certainly see the skill with the kids that have been here at camp. As we've been going along, we've been adding a bit more structure, which helps, so it's not chaotic out there," said Rebels assistant coach Mike Egener, who guided Team White to the win.

"They're all real smart kids, with a lot of good skill and intelligence."
