WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Some Forsyth County educators may soon receive notices about staff reassignments and reductions as part of the district’s ongoing Reduction in Force (RIF) plan.
According to the school district, assistant principals are expected to begin receiving reassignment emails by the end of this week. EC staff are expected to be notified of their reassignments exactly one week from today.
Amanda Anderson, an Exceptional Children (EC) teacher at Southeast Middle School, said the uncertainty has weighed heavily on staff morale. Anderson has taught at the school for two years and said she has developed deep connections with both students and families.
