Starbucks is hopping on the protein wave with the introduction of its two new protein menu items.
Starting Sept. 29, a new line of protein lattes and cold foams will hit stores as part of what the company says is a strategy to modernize its menu.
“Our new protein beverages tap into the growing consumer demand for protein in an innovative, premium and delicious way that only Starbucks can deliver,” said Tressie Lieberman, Starbucks global chief brand officer, in a release .
Its protein lattes are made with protein-boosted milk, delivering approximately 15 to 36 grams of protein per grande beverage.
Adding the protein cold foam will provide about 15 grams of protein per grande to any cold drink. It will be offered in several flavors including banana, vanilla, chocolate, matcha, salted
