Six Nations Police are asking for the public’s help to locate individuals involved in an attempted break and enter that responded to a shelter in place order being issued for residents in the area.

Just before 6 a.m. on Saturday, August 30, officers responded to an Onondaga Road address in the Ohsweken area after the residents were awakened by the sound of two suspects attempting to gain entry to the home.

Police say the residents were able to prevent the suspects – one of whom was carrying a firearm – from entering the house. The suspects are believed to have fled on foot, but police were unable to locate them in the immediate area. Assistance from outside law enforcement services was requested because one of the suspects was potentially armed.
