One year ago, a royal wedding with a difference captivated the world – and now, on the occasion of their first anniversary, Princess Märtha Louise of Norway has written an emotional letter to her husband, thanking him for bringing out her ‘authentic self’ and calling him a ‘brave, vulnerable, strong, wise, loving, and incredibly funny man’.

The eldest daughter of King Harald and Queen Sonja did not hold back as she praised her ‘beloved husband’ in the missive, shared on Instagram along with photographs of their fairytale wedding. ‘I am so blessed to have you in my life and to walk this path with you,’ she wrote. ‘We grow together, we laugh together, and you always see the best in me, reminding me of who I truly am and bringing out my authentic self.’
