Sarnia police are asking the public’s help identifying a suspect in a reported sexual assault of a teenage girl near the Sarnia library Aug. 24.
Police said a girl, 16, was walking to the downtown library when a man approached, began complimenting her, then grabbed her, rubbed his genitals against her, kissed her and fondled her breasts and buttocks.

The girl tried to enter the library, which was closed, then ran away, police said.
The man was seen leaving the area driving a silver or teal Ford Fusion, police said. The suspect may also have a large scar on his left hand near his thumb and index finger.
