DULUTH, Minn. — Multiple businesses evacuated late Wednesday morning after a possible hazmat situation at Canal Park in Duluth.

KARE news partner Northern News Now says the Duluth Fire Department confirmed crews responded to the potential incident around 10 a.m. A Canal Park employee told the NBC affiliate that The Suites Hotel, Old Chicago and Red Lobster had all evacuated their buildings.

The City of Duluth posted on its Facebook account that fire crews are on scene after reports of a chlorine odor at The Suites in Canal Park. Multiple crews and the chemical assessment team were dispatched and are assessing conditions.
