SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) -- Two Central New York charities were awarded over $12,000 from the money raised during the 2025 Taste of Syracuse local food festival.

This year's festival, which lasted from June 6 to 7, saw about 200,000 attendees. The checks were presented on Sept. 3 in Clinton Square to David’s Refuge and Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central New York.

“Being a caregiver can be incredibly rewarding, but it also comes with physical, emotional, and financial challenges. We are thrilled that we were able to highlight the work of these two organizations that do so much to support families and caregivers in Central New York,” said Twanda Christensen, Vice President of Marketing and Community Engagement for The Summit Federal Credit Union.
