With the Municipality of Chatham-Kent updating its plan to shape arts, culture, heritage and creative life, applications now are being accepted to form a steering committee.

Committee members will have the opportunity to help influence the priorities, goals and strategies that will guide cultural development during the next decade, the municipality stated in a release Wednesday.

Steering committee responsibilities include the following:

Participating in regular meetings.

Sharing experiences and ideas related to culture and community.

Identifying cultural priorities, challenges and opportunities.

Helping shape recommendations and reviewing draft sections of the plan.

Supporting broader community engagement activities, wherever possible.
