EUGENE, Ore. - Firefighters were busy Tuesday night as they tackled two separate incidents in west Eugene, according to Eugene Springfield Fire officials.

ESF authorities said that, just before 10 p.m. on Sept. 2, crews responded to a large fire involving wood shavings at Coastal Farm on West 6th Avenue. It took two engines and a water tender about 90 minutes to extinguish the blaze. The cause is under investigation.

While crews were still handling the situation at Coastal Farm, another call came in at approximately 10:52 p.m. for a commercial structure fire on Bailey Hill Road. A passerby reported a burning smell and water leaking from a door.
