SAN JOSE — Three men were arrested for allegedly robbing two separate people they met with on the pretense of buying expensive items from online marketplaces, authorities said.
The three suspects — two 19-year-old men and an 18-year-old man who was a juvenile at the time of the incidents — allegedly carried out the two robberies on June 11, according to a press release from the San Jose Police Department. All three suspects are residents of San Jose.
Around 9:10 p.m., police responded to the 500 block of Hermitage Avenue where the first victim reported that he had been trying to sell a pair of $480 shoes, authorities said. One of the suspects had arranged to meet the victim through an online application.
