The Alberta Sheriffs have shut a house on the north side down that allegedly had dozens of police visits over the last year.
The Safer Communities and Neighbourhoods (SCAN) Unit has obtained a court order against the property owner of 1212 10 Avenue North. The property will be closed for 90 days, effective at noon on Wednesday, September 3.
The community safety order bars all people from the property until the closure period ends on December 2. It will be boarded up, fenced, and have the locks changed.
Between January 2024 and May 2025, the Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) attended the home 55 times for calls, including assaults, disturbances, and suspected drug overdoses. Complainants reported used syringes in the alley behind the property.
