Amazon Prime will no longer let members share their free two-day shipping benefits with others outside their household starting Oct. 1.

The subscription service began informing its members of this change on Tuesday, per CNBC .

“We are writing to inform you that the Prime Invitee Program, which allowed sharing Prime’s fast, free delivery with others, will end on October 1, 2025,” a notice from the company read, per the outlet. “Your invited guests will be notified directly about this change by September 5, 2025.”

Officially known as the Prime Invitee Program, Amazon currently lets Prime members share their free, two-day shipping privilege with one other adult, even if they live at a different address.
