Police in Hendersonville have addressed a post circulating on social media about an attempted child abduction at the North Carolina Apple Festival over the weekend.

On Wednesday, officers with the Hendersonville Police Department confirmed that neither an abduction nor attempted abduction occurred at the North Carolina Apple Festival. Latest Forecast

Officers said a video online reveals the child was left unattended in a stroller for about 10 minutes. During that time, concerned citizens moved the stroller into the shade nearby until a parent came back to retrieve the child.
