A Winnipeg grief support group that has provided comfort to bereaved parents for nearly 50 years is searching for a new home after being told to leave its longtime space at Health Sciences Centre.

The Compassionate Friends, a non-profit and volunteer-based peer support organization, has operated out of HSC for 49 years. The Winnipeg chapter has been advised it must vacate by Dec. 1, 2025, as the hospital reallocates the space for clinical, research and educational use.
