Jersey a dvertisements have officially reached one of the Ontario Hockey League’s most storied franchises.

The Soo Greyhounds announced on Wednesday morning that McDougall Energy, a Canadian-owned and Sault Ste. Marie-based petroleum company, will become the team’s first-ever jersey sponsor.

The McDougall logo will appear on the front of the Hounds’ sweaters for the 2025–26 season — a first for a franchise known for its clean, Detroit Red Wings-style look.

The move places the Hounds alongside a growing number of OHL teams embracing visible uniform sponsorships. Last season, after the league officially permitted jersey patches, the Windsor Spitfires, Erie Otters, Ottawa 67’s, London Knights, Saginaw Spirit, and Guelph Storm were among the early adopters.
