STORRS, Conn. — The two-time national champion head coach of the UConn men’s basketball team thought long and hard about leaving the storied program following a disappointing 2024-2025 season.
Dan Hurley, 52, a native of Jersey City, N.J., climbed to the pinnacle of his sport, but the journey left him exhausted.
Experts from Hurley’s new book – “Never Stop: Life, Leadership and What It Takes To Be Great” – were published by The Athletic on Wednesday. Hurley wrote the book with The Athletic columnist Ian O’Connor.
“Never Stop” is set to be released on Sept. 30 and may offer more information, but from what was released on Wednesday, it appears Hurley came close to stepping down.
