A suspect remains at large while five London residents face dozens of gun- and drug-related charges following a downtown shooting over the weekend that left one person injured.
Police said “evidence of a firearm being discharged” was found in the area of John and Richmond streets after reports of possible gunfire at about 3 a.m. Sunday. One person was dropped off at hospital with serious injuries not considered life-threatening.
Investigators identified a vehicle involved through video surveillance footage and the Ontario Provincial Police were credited for helping to stop the suspect vehicle outside the city.
Police said they searched the seized vehicle on Monday and found a loaded Glock 26 Gen 5 9 mm handgun, about 98 grams of suspected cocaine, a bottle containing 40 suspected oxyc
