MONROE COUNTY, Tennessee — A Monroe County grand jury has indicted five jail personnel and two nurses in the death of a sickly Tellico Plains man held more than nine hours in a restraint chair in February.

Nurses Courtney Woods and Greg Mills and current or former jail personnel Joshua Duncan, Jerron Henry, Tyler Finger, Elijah Spencer and Tommy Reagan faced booking after the grand jury returned the indictments in the form of a presentment.

Records among the seven show the indictments consisted of criminally negligent homicide, official misconduct and false reports.
