TRUMBULL COUNTY, OH - Plans for a new Trumbull County dog pound are being picked up again after sitting idle for more than a year.

“We operate out of an old garage and it is very outdated,” Michelle Goss, the Trumbull County Dog Warden said.

The Warden is urging the move because the current building is outdated and small and sits next to a waste water treatment facility.

“The conditions in our current dog pound are deplorable,” Rick Hernandez, Trumbull County Commissioner said.

“Our main goal is not what it looks like but it serves the purpose for us to take care of our animals,” Tony Bernard, Trumbull County Commissioner said.
