A St. Clair Shores man pleaded guilty Wednesday to voting twice in the August 2024 primary election, according to the Michigan Attorney General’s Office.
Frank Prezzato, 68, was one of seven people charged in October with voting twice or enabling people to vote twice. Five cases have been dismissed; Prezzato is the first to plead guilty.
Prezzato acknowledged during his guilty plea that he acted recklessly in voting twice in the same election, according to the Attorney General’s Office. He voted absentee and in-person in August 2024, and both votes were counted.
“Voting twice undermines our democratic process,” said Attorney General Dana Nessel. “My office will continue to prosecute those who violate our voting laws to ensure Michigan voters have confidenc
