NEW ALBANY, Indiana — Authorities executed multiple search warrants Wednesday as part of an ongoing investigation in New Albany.

New Albany Police Chief Todd Bailey said the department worked with Indiana State Police to conduct searches at three locations including the Coverleaf Bar and Grill on Culberston Avenue; the North Star Tattoo Co. on Vincennes Street; and an unidentified residence.

Details about the search warrants are unclear, however Bailey did clear up rumors that were spreading online.

"False information has been circulating online stating these warrants were related to US Immigration and Customs (ICE) investigations," Bailey said. "This is not correct and in no way are these searches related to immigration."
