CLEVELAND (WJW) - A water main break along the Cleveland Memorial Shoreway continues to create headaches for drivers and commuters.

SkyFOX captured aerials Wednesday morning showing the traffic nightmare during rush hour.

Cleveland Water said in a statement Wednesday afternoon that crews have identified the location of the leak and are working to control the water flow while keeping customers in service.

In the meantime, the Shoreway remains closed at Lake Avenue and Clifton Boulevard and cars are being detoured onto Lake Avenue.

“These kinds of things are challenging because they create a problem with ingress and egress into and out of our central business district. I understand the sensitivity around this,” said Cleveland City Council President Blaine Griffin.
