ELLISVILLE, Mo. (First Alert 4) - A cold case murder at a St. Louis County Dairy Queen is getting a renewed call for justice.
Margaret “Marge” Marie Walsh, 47, was found dead around 7 a.m. on April 24, 1980, at an Ellisville Dairy Queen. Investigators said Walsh, who was the night manager, had been fatally shot, and the office area was ransacked. A small amount of money was also reported missing.
After the mother of three was found dead, the St. Louis Area Major Case Squad was called in to investigate. After following several leads to no avail, the Major Case Squad disbanded and returned the case to the Ellisville Police Department.
The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office said the case was reopened several times, including in 1991 and 2006, and is still considered an active i
