KANSAS CITY, Mo. (WDAF) — NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell fueled speculation Wednesday about one of the league’s biggest stage moments, hinting that Taylor Swift could be in the mix for the next Super Bowl halftime show.

He left the door open to the possibility during an interview with the TODAY Show.

“We would always love to have Taylor play. She is a special, special talent, and obviously she would be welcome at any time,” Goodell said Wednesday morning.

When asked directly if Swift headlining the halftime show was in the works by host Savannah Guthrie, Goodell said he couldn't say "anything about it."

Guthrie pushed a little further by asking: “Is it a maybe?”

“It’s a maybe,” Goodell simply responded.
