SOUTH GLENS FALLS, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A new candidate is throwing his hat into the ring to be the next North Country representative. Dylan Hewitt, of South Glens Falls, launched his campaign for Congress on Wednesday.
He's vying for New York's 21st District, which is currently held by Republican Elise Stefanik. If elected, the democrat said he will work to lower the cost of living for working families and provide healthcare for all.
"I believe that every single person should have a full-time job that pays enough to live," he said. "That they deserve a full-time job that lets their families get by and get ahead. That we put food on the table for our children, a fair shot at success. Every single person in this district deserves healthcare they can count on."
