Mobile police shot a man during a standoff Wednesday after they say he shot at officers, according to the Mobile Police Department.
Joseph Brown, Public Affairs Manager for the department, said officers responded to the 4200 block of Bayfront Road at about 2 p.m. regarding a “disorderly” man at a residence.
The man allegedly fired a shot out of the home prior to SWAT, the department’s crisis intervention team and other units arriving.
The man then allegedly shot several times at police resulting in officers firing back and injuring the man.
The individual was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, Brown said.
Brown said the department did not have any further information regarding the incident.
