A property in Sturgeon County, which has been labelled a “drug house”, has been shut down after multiple complaints linked to drug and criminal activity.

Officials say the property at 55319 Highway 28A must remain closed for 43 days starting Wednesday at noon.

“Closures like this sends a clear message to drug dealers: you’re not welcome anywhere in Alberta,” said Mike Ellis, Alberta’s minister of public safety and emergency services. “All Albertans deserve security and peace of mind at home, free from disruption and chaos that leaves them and their property vulnerable.”

Officials say the property will be completely boarded up during the closure period and all locks will be changed. Some people have been banned from visiting the home for three years.
