Shows under this category normally depict the use of science fiction technology either on Earth or in space. At times, such small-screen gems simply involve ordinary military units battling genetically advanced adversaries. Like in ordinary war-themed shows, politics tends to be a major theme, with the traditional military values of duty, bravery, honor, loyalty, and sacrifice being emphasized.
