SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio police said an Amazon delivery driver was attacked by a dog in a south-side neighborhood Wednesday afternoon.
Officials said the 26-year-old driver entered the yard of a home on the 600 block of East Thompson Place to deliver an item when the dog attacked, biting the driver on both his hands and chest.
The German Shepard mix was placed in the custody of Animal Care Service who says it will undergo a mandatory quarantine in accordance with state law.
The driver was treated by EMS with non-life threatening injuries, according to police. He was transported to a local hospital as a precautionary measure.
