SAN ANTONIO — The San Antonio Police Department said a man has been hospitalized after his neck was "slashed" during an argument with a suspect in a food mart just west of downtown.
Around 4:30 p.m., officers responded to the Brazos Food Mart located on the 200 block of Frio City Road after receiving reports of an altercation.
Upon arrival witnesses told police that an argument broke out between two men inside the food mart before they took the altercation outside and began physically fighting.
During the fight, SAPD said one of the participants pulled out "some sort of cutting instrument" and "slashed" the victim in the neck, arm and back.
The man was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
