Traffic alert: Southbound Powers Boulevard closed to rush

The Colorado Springs Fire Department is on scene of a multi-vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon that shut down all of southbound Powers Boulevard on the east side of the city.

The crash was reported near North Carefree Circle and Powers, according to a social media post shortly after 4 p.m. from the Fire Department.

Multiple crews were responding to the crash, the Fire Department said. Commuters were asked to avoid the area.
