ELMIRA, NY (WENY) -- If you're into making crafts and learning about technology, the ' Makerspace ' at the Steele Memorial Library in Elmira just got bigger. A brief ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on Wednesday, September 3rd, to commemorate the expanded space.
" We’ve really expanded our arts and crafts side of things. So we have a whole classroom where we teach painting and drawing, sewing classes, a variety of different machines, people might not have access to at home... One of the things we offer is learning how to use these tools, so it may just be the beginning of a hobby for someone or a way to work through a problem.
