CHAPEL HILL — UNC football defensive back Marcus Allen took a brunt of the blame for the Tar Heels ’ issues with slowing down TCU.

Defensive backs coach Brian Belichick came to Allen’s defense during a press conference on Sept. 3, saying the senior defender was “not the source of every bad play” UNC’s defense had in the 48-14 loss to the Horned Frogs .
