LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - A recent report shows Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill” will cost Nebraska more than $200 million over the next two years.

Nebraska Sen. Pete Ricketts told state reporters in a press conference Wednesday it will be “great for Nebraska families.”

A report from the Nebraska Department of Revenue projects losses in both corporate and individual tax revenue totaling roughly $216 million within the remaining two years of the current state budget.

The DOR is required to release an analysis within 60 days of a change to the national Internal Revenue Code.

The so-called “One Big Beautiful Bill” passed July 4.

That same month, Nebraska’s Economic Forecasting Advisory Board met and announced the state is facing a $95 million projected deficit.
