ATLANTA — Emory University announced that they are carefully working to discontinue its current Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) offices and programs.

Back in March, the Atlanta-based institution was one of 45 universities nationwide under scrutiny for its race-based programs that aimed to increase diversity in specific fields.

The investigation followed a Dear Colleague Letter from the Education Department warning institutions that they must cease using race-based preferences and stereotypes in education programs, hiring and student services.
