SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – Bossier City families now have a new place to turn for academic support. Tuesday, Bossier City leaders cut the ribbon on the newly relocated parent center.
The newly relocated parent center is designed for more open access and to and create more opportunities for parent involvement. Students and parents don't need an appointment; just walk in.
"Hopefully they'll take advantage of the opportunities that this facility will provide," said Bossier Parish Superintendent Jason Rowland.
"It is open to the public at any point in time… we want parents to be engaged in their child's education.", said Rowland.
Inside, shelves are stocked with books, testing materials, learning games, and family resources. Support is available for all Bossier Parish families.
