GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WFLA) — A beloved dog named Rosco safely found his way back home Monday with the help of an Alachua County deputy.
Body cam video showed the moment Deputy Meurer spotted Rosco wandering in the middle of Tower Road. The sheriff's office said Rosco appeared to be "scared and unsure of where to go."
Deputy Meurer crouched down and called the dog to him. Although hesitant at first, Rosco eventually came to the deputy and allowed Meurer to pet him.
"Hey puppy dog, how are you?" Deputy Meurer said while taking a look at the information on Rosco's collar.
He then got Rosco to jump into the back of his patrol car and they set off for a joyous reunification.
Rosco's owner thanked Deputy Meurer multiple times as he saw his dog climb out of the patrol car. The owner explained
