LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- The University of Nevada, Las Vegas Rebels are returning home to face off against the University of California, Los Angeles Bruins at Allegiant Stadium Saturday.

The Rebels beat the Sam Houston State Bearkats 38-21 Friday in the first game between the schools. It was the first of two matchups against first-time opponents this season, with UNLV going up against the Miami RedHawks on Sept. 20.

The Saturday, Sept. 3, game at Allegiant Stadium will only be the third time UNLV and UCLA meet on the football field, with the Bruins having won both ends of a home-and-home series a decade ago, UNLV Athletics said.
