HOUSTON -- Just as the Astros welcomed several members of their starting rotation back from injury in the last month, the club was dealt another blow when right-hander Spencer Arrighetti was placed on the 15-day injured list Wednesday with right elbow inflammation.
Right-hander Jayden Murray had his contract selected to the Major League roster and joined the team prior to the game against the Yankees .
Arrighetti missed four months with a fractured right thumb and returned Aug. 6 to make five starts, going 0-4 with a 5.26 ERA in five appearances. He was coming off his best start of the season Saturday against the Angels when he held them to one hit and one run while striking out five batters in 6 1/3 innings.
