A routine Facebook post by the Tavares Police Department highlighting its Alpha Shift officers has gone viral — not for the update on public safety, but for the flood of flirty comments it sparked from local women.

The department’s post introduced Corporal Wilklow, Officer Welte, Officer Edwards, Officer Sauseda and Sergeant O’Shea. The caption praised the team for “keeping our streets safe” while many residents were just “figuring out how to work the coffee maker.”

But it wasn’t the words that caught attention — it was the photo of the five uniformed officers. The comments section quickly exploded with playful remarks, catcalls, and jokes about committing petty crimes just to get their attention.

“I’ve kept a clean record but I’d run a red light with no seat belt,” one commenter wrote.
