WOODHULL, Ill. (KWQC) - Illinois State Rep. Dan Swanson will host two scam prevention seminars this month.
The free seminars will include tips on how to avoid being scammed from local law enforcement and the Illinois Attorney General’s office, according to a media release.
Attendees will also learn about current scams, how to detect them, and what to do if someone is being scammed, officials said.
The first seminar is from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Sept. 10 at the Warren County History Museum at 238 South Sunny Lane in Monmouth, Illinois, officials said.
The second seminar will be from 11 a.m. to noon on Sept. 10 at the Alexis Community Center at 205 West Palmer Avenue in Alexis, Illinois.
The seminars are open to the public.
