Volusia County Sheriff Mike Chitwood joined fellow law enforcement officers in a high-speed pursuit Wednesday morning, successfully executing a pit maneuver to stop a suspect driving a white BMW on Interstate 95.

Just after 8 a.m., Port Orange Police attempted to stop the vehicle for traffic violations, but the driver, identified as 24-year-old Christian Ottinot from Broward County, drove recklessly through the city, reaching speeds over 100 miles per hour on Interstate 95.
