KGNSLAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - Nearly two weeks have passed since a man was rescued from a drainage pipe near the Outlet Shoppes at Laredo. Since then, the city has discussed how to properly secure these drain pipes to prevent this from happening again.
During a Laredo City Council meeting on Tuesday, September 2, Ricardo Gonzalez from the Laredo Police Department presented on the security measures being implemented. This discussion was prompted by Laredo Mayor Dr. Victor Trevino’s request to address the safety risks posed by large sewer pipes.
